Savory Baked Chicken
Ingredients: 4-6 Boneless, skinless chicken breasts or chicken strips Garlic salt and black pepper-to taste 30-40 Savory Saltine Crackers-crumbled (use less for strips)
Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Rinse chicken and pat dry. Place chicken pieces as close as possible in a baking dish.
Season with garlic salt and black pepper. Top with crushed Savory Saltine Crackers. Bake 25-30 minutes or until juices run clear. May need less cooking time for chicken strips. Minimum internal temperature of 165ºF
Savory Skillet Fajitas
Ingredients: 1 pkg. Savory Saltine Seasoning Mix 2 Tbs. Olive oil 1 Tbs. Water 1½-2 lbs. Beef flank steak, cut into ½” strips 3 cups Assorted red and green bell pepper, and onion strips 4-10 inch Flour tortillas, warmed Fillings: Chopped tomatoes, cheese, chopped onion and pico de gallo.
Directions: Combine seasoning mix, oil and water. Sauté steak strips in mixture. Add peppers and onion. Cook until tender crisp. Fill tortillas with mixture and fillings. Serves 4.
Crock Pot Chicken Tacos
Ingredients:
3-4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
Chicken Broth
1 Package of Savory Saltine Seasoning (Original Flavor or Texas Chipotle for more spice)
Instructions:
In a crockpot, place chicken breasts in the bottom.
Cover chicken with Savory Saltine Seasoning.
Add enough Chicken Broth to cover chicken (1-2 cups).
Cook on low for 4-6 hours, or high for 3-4 hours.
Shred the chicken with a fork and serve with your favorite taco toppings.
Options:
Add chopped green chillis, chopped onion, corn, bell peppers or diced tomatoes for more flavor.
Serve as soft or crunchy tacos.
Add more chicken broth to recipe to make Taco Soup.
Cracker Crusted Baked Tilapia
Ingredients: 2-4 Tilapia Fish Fillets 3 tablespoons melted butter Savory Crackers – approx. 30 Directions: Heat oven to 400°. Lightly grease a large shallow baking dish. Crush the Savory crackers in a zip top bag until they look like coarse breadcrumbs. Mix the melted butter and cracker crumbs together in a bowl. Arrange fish on the baking pan.
